Big Dog’s Carne Asada


3lbs Flap Meat

1 doz Flour or 3 doz Corn Tortillas

2 cups Cilantro chopped

1  Red Onion finely diced

Pico de Gallo (see recipe website)

Taco Sauce or Salsa

Guacamole (see recipe on website)

Lime wedges

Grated Cheddar/Monterey Jack Cheese Mix (optional)


This is a simple Carne Asada recipe that my family loves. I do NOT use pre marinaded Carne Asada, though I have in a pinch. I use Flap Meat and marinate it myself. I usually wait until it is on sale and stock up to make it more cost effective. I roughly figure 1/2 lb,  per person for an event, but my family likes the leftovers, so I buy extra.
