BBQ Tri Tip Nachos

BBQ Tri Tip Nachos, guaranteed to be a hit at you next get together.


1- 1 1/2 – 2 lb Tri Tip Roast

1- Bag of Tortilla Chips

2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 – 24oz can of Baked Beans

BBQ Sauce

1 Cup Guacamole

1 Cup Sour Cream

Deli Sliced Pickled Jalapeno Peppers


Top with Cilantro

Top with Green Onion


Season Tri Tip liberally with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, adjust amount of each seasoning to your taste.  Let Tri Tip sit and marinate in the seasonings in refrigerator for at least 1 hour, this can be done the night before if you like.  Remove from refrigerator and let sit for 15 minutes.  At this time set-up grill for indirect grilling and light grill, preheat for 15 – 20 minutes.  Place Tri Tip on grate, with fat cap side up, on the indirect side of the grill and continue cooking for 20-30 minutes.  Turn the Tri Tip and continue to cook to desired doneness place an instant read thermometer check into thickest part of the Tri Tip until it reads 130°F.  Slather entire Tri Tip with BBQ Sauce 10 minutes before removing from grill.  Remove roast from grill and let sit for 15 minutes.  Then slice into thick slices cutting across the grain then dice.
